This large museum situated near the city focuses on Natural History. It's got good permanent exhibitions on native animals and our indigenous culture.
Opera HouseSydney Opera House

Who doesn't know the Sydney Opera House? It's synonymous with Sydney itself. Although it's only been here since the early 70s Sydney isn't Sydney without it. A lot of us don't realise what goes on under those sails. The official Opera House homepage reveals another cultural side of Sydney that is rarely seen.
Bondi Beach

It went through its dead phase in the last ten years, but it's being ressurected and its old image is coming back. The fact remains it is still Australia's most famous beach. Bondi is always a place crowded with a variety of people. Young and old, locals, tourists, people who surf, people who sunbake, people who sit and read. It's one of Australia's icons. This link has extensive information about the beach, including an interactive tour.
The RocksThe Rocks

The Rocks is historically significant and one of the most well preserved places in Australia. The old buildings date back to colonial days. Now it is one of the premier shopping areas in Sydney, particularly for tourists who are looking for a quality souvenir to take home with them. My favourite shop for Left Handed people is situated here!
